Workspace safety and the Danger Zone

The workspace Danger Zone is read-only in this release: archiving, deleting, transferring, and leaving a workspace are not available from the app yet.

ReferenceFor OwnersUpdated October 1, 2026

Workspace Settings includes a Danger Zone for high-risk workspace actions. In the current release it is read-only — destructive workspace actions are not available from the app yet. This page explains what that means.

Who this is for

Workspace Owners, who would manage high-risk workspace actions.

What the Danger Zone shows

Open Settings, then Danger Zone (the last section of the page). It lists high-risk actions and their current safety boundary. Today, it shows that no destructive workspace controls are enabled in this release, and the section is read-only.

The actions listed — and their current state — are:

  • Archive Workspace — not available yet.
  • Delete Workspace — permanent workspace deletion is not available from the app yet.
  • Transfer Ownership — not available yet.
  • Leave Workspace — not available yet.

Why these are gated

Important
Destructive workspace changes are intentionally not exposed until they have dedicated authorization and confirmation flows. This protects your content, team, and billing from accidental or premature changes.

If you need one of these changes

If you need a workspace change that is not available here yet — for example winding a workspace down — contact us from the contact page. In the meantime, your content remains yours in your GitHub repository. See You own your content and repository.

  • To stop publishing to a workspace, you can leave its projects unconnected or remove deployment triggers, without deleting anything.
  • To move between workspaces you already have, use the workspace switcher. See Switch between workspaces.
