Create a Page
Create a standalone Page such as an About or Pricing page, edit its content, and move it through review and publishing.
Pages are standalone content such as an About page, a Pricing page, or a landing page. Creating a Page works much like creating a Post, with a few differences worth knowing.
Who this is for
Editors and Authors who manage a site's standalone pages.
Before you start
- You have a project. See Create your first project.
- You know the Page's slug, since it usually maps to a fixed URL on your site (for example
/about).
Create the Page
- Open your project and go to Pages.
- Choose Add Content to open the editor.
- Enter a Title and review the Slug. For Pages, the slug often needs to match a specific route on your site, so set it deliberately.
- Write the Body using the Block Editor or Source mode.
- Add SEO Title, Meta Description, and Canonical URL *(optional)* as needed.
Note
Posts and Pages share the same editor. The main difference is intent: Pages are evergreen, one-off content, while Posts are dated entries in a series.
Posts vs Pages
Use this to decide which type fits:
- Choose a Page for content that exists once and rarely changes its place on the site — About, Contact, Pricing, Terms.
- Choose a Post for dated, repeating content — blog articles, news, release notes.
- If your content is a repeating structured type that is neither a simple Post nor Page — like Case Studies or Help Articles — use a Custom Content Type instead.
Save, review, and publish
- Choose Save Draft to save the Page as a Draft.
- Use Submit For Review, then have a reviewer approve it.
- Once approved, schedule or publish it.
On publish, Acrosite commits the Page as a Markdown file to your repository and triggers a redeploy.
What happens next
After publishing, confirm the result in Publish Logs and check your live site once your provider finishes the build.
Troubleshooting
- My Page is at the wrong URL. The slug controls the file name Acrosite commits. Edit the slug to match the route your site expects, then republish.
- Save Draft is disabled. Ensure the Title and Slug are valid; the editor blocks saving until they are.
- I need the same layout for many entries. That is a sign you want a Custom Content Type with Custom Fields, not individual Pages.
