Manage Team Members

Change a Team Member's role, suspend and reactivate access, or remove someone from the Team page. The Owner is protected from accidental changes.

GuideFor Owners and AdminsUpdated October 1, 2026

Once people join your workspace, you manage them from the Team page — changing roles, suspending and reactivating access, and removing people who no longer need it. This guide covers those actions.

Who this is for

Workspace Owners and Admins, who can manage Team Members. Other roles cannot.

Before you start

  • You are an Owner or Admin.
  • You know the change you want to make and who it affects.

Open the Team Members list

  1. Open your workspace and go to Team.
  2. Open the Team Members view.
  3. Use the Search, Role, and Status filters to find the person, then choose Apply (or Clear to reset the filters).

Each member row shows their name and email, Role, Status (such as ACTIVE), when they joined or were invited, and the actions available to you.

Change a role

Change a member's role from their row when their responsibilities change. Before the change is made, Acrosite asks you to confirm it's you with a passkey or authenticator app; the new role then takes effect immediately. Pick the least-privileged role that fits — see Team Member roles explained.

Note
Role changes and removals need a passkey or authenticator app on your account. If you only sign in with email codes or Google, add one in Account Settings → Sign-In & Security first.

Suspend, reactivate, or remove

Owners and Admins can suspend a Team Member to pause their access without deleting anything, reactivate them later, and remove them when they no longer need access. Suspension takes effect straight away, so use it when access must stop now. Removal asks you to confirm it's you with a passkey or authenticator app first. Removal is a soft removal, so audit history is preserved.

Important
The Owner is protected. The Owner row shows PROTECTED OWNER and cannot have its role changed, be suspended, or be removed from this page, so you cannot lock yourself out.

What happens next

Removing or suspending a member frees capacity against your plan's Team Member limit. If you are at the limit and want to invite someone new, suspend or remove an inactive member first, or upgrade your plan. See Manage pending invitations for invitations that have not been accepted yet.
