Schedule content

Schedule approved content to publish at a future date and time in a chosen timezone, or publish it immediately.

GuideFor Owners, Admins, ManagersUpdated June 7, 2026

Approved content does not have to go live immediately. You can schedule it to publish at a future date and time, or publish it right away. This guide covers both.

Who this is for

Workspace Owners, Admins, and Managers, who can schedule and publish content. Editors and Authors create and submit content; approving and scheduling is a separate step.

Before you start

  • The content item is Approved. You schedule from the approved item or the project's Publishing queue.
  • The project has GitHub and a deployment trigger configured, so the publish can complete.

Schedule a publish

  1. Open the approved content item, or open the project's Publishing queue.
  2. In the scheduling panel, set the Schedule Date and Time.
  3. Choose a Timezone. The publish runs at your chosen time in that timezone, so it is unambiguous for your team and audience.
  4. Choose Schedule Publish.

The content moves to the Scheduled status, and Acrosite shows the scheduled time and timezone.

Note
Scheduled content stays as a draft in Acrosite until its time arrives — nothing is committed to your repository early. At the scheduled time, Acrosite commits the content and triggers your deployment automatically.

Publish now instead

If you do not want to wait, choose Publish Now on an approved item. Acrosite runs its readiness checks, commits the planned files to GitHub, and sends the deployment trigger immediately.

Change or cancel a schedule

To change a scheduled time, choose Cancel Schedule to return the item to Approved, then schedule it again with the new time. Cancelling a schedule before it runs stops the publish; it does not undo anything in your repository, because nothing has been committed yet.

What happens next

When a scheduled publish runs, Acrosite records the result in Publish Logs and the deployment trigger in Deployment Logs. On success, the item's status becomes Published.

Important
Acrosite triggers your deployment after committing. It does not track the build to completion, so confirm the live site in your hosting provider's dashboard.

Troubleshooting

  • I cannot schedule. Scheduling requires an Owner, Admin, or Manager role, and the item must be Approved.
  • My scheduled publish failed. Open Publish Logs to see why, then see Troubleshoot publishing failures.
  • I scheduled the wrong time. Choose Cancel Schedule, then schedule again with the correct date, time, and timezone.
  • I am near my scheduled-items limit. Plans include a number of active scheduled items. See Billing, trial, and plan limits.
