Add a content item
Use Add Content to start a new Post, Page, or Custom Content Type item in a project, choose the content type, and open it in the editor as a draft.
Add Content starts a new content item — a Post, a Page, or an item of one of your Custom Content Types — and opens it in the editor as a draft. This guide walks through it.
Who this is for
Editors and Authors who create new content in a project.
Before you start
- You have a project. See Create your first project.
- You know which content type you are creating. See Posts vs Pages vs Custom Content Types.
Add a content item
- Open your project and go to Content Items (or any content list).
- Choose Add Content.
- In the dialog, pick the Content Type you want to create — Post, Page, or one of your Custom Content Types.
- Confirm with the create action (its label reflects the type, such as Add New Post).
Acrosite creates the item and opens it in the content editor as a draft, ready for you to add a title, body, and the rest.
After it is created
A new item starts in Draft status. From the editor you can:
- Write the body in the Block Editor or Source mode.
- Set a featured image and fill in any Custom Fields.
- Save your work with Save Draft — the editor saves manually, with no autosave.
When the draft is ready, the Publish Readiness checks show what remains before you submit it for review or publish it.
