Project settings
Edit a project's name, linked Client, and website URL from Project Settings. GitHub and deployment setup stay on their own pages.
Project Settings is where you update a project's basic details — its name, linked Client, and website URL — without touching GitHub, deployment, content, or publishing. This page explains it.
Who this is for
Workspace Owners and Admins. Project Settings is editable by Owners and Admins; the rest of the team can view it.
Edit project details
- Open the project, then choose Project Settings in the sidebar.
- Under Project Details, update:
- Project Name — the project's name.
- Client (Optional) — link the project to a Client, or set it to No Client. See Link a Client to a project.
- Website URL (Optional) — the site's public address.
- Choose Update Project.
Note
Project Settings only changes the project record. GitHub and deployment setup stay on their own pages, so editing settings never changes how the project connects or publishes.
Where other project setup lives
- GitHub Setup — repository and branch. See Connect GitHub.
- Deployment Setup — deployment method and trigger. See Configure a deployment trigger.
- Content and Media — content structure and media.
Troubleshooting
- Fields are read-only. Updating the project record requires an Owner or Admin role.
- Update Project is unavailable. The Project Name is required; make sure it is filled in and within the length limit.
