Publishing

Publish now

Publish an Approved item immediately with Publish Now: Acrosite runs its readiness checks, commits the files to GitHub, and sends your deployment trigger.

GuideFor Owners, Admins, and ManagersUpdated June 8, 2026

When content is Approved and you do not want to wait, you publish it immediately with Publish Now. This guide covers it.

Who this is for

Owners, Admins, and Managers, who can publish content. Editors and Authors create and submit content; publishing is a separate, role-gated step.

Before you start

Publish an item now

  1. Open the Approved content item in its editor.
  2. Choose Publish Now.

Acrosite runs its readiness checks, commits the planned files to GitHub, and sends the deployment trigger right away. The item moves through Publishing to Published on success.

Publish Now vs Schedule

  • Use Publish Now to publish immediately.
  • Use Schedule Publish to publish at a future date and time. See Schedule content.

Both run the same publish pipeline — only the timing differs. See What happens when you publish.

Important
A successful publish means Acrosite committed your content and triggered your deployment. It does not confirm your host finished building — check your provider's dashboard for the live result.

What happens next

The result is recorded in Publish Logs, and the deployment trigger in Deployment Logs. If a publish does not complete, the item becomes Failed and can be retried — see Retry a failed publish or deployment.
