Billing and trial states reference

What each billing and access state means on your Billing page — trial, active, billing status, publishing access, and payment status.

ReferenceFor OwnersUpdated June 8, 2026

Your Billing page shows several states that describe where your workspace stands. This reference explains what each one means. For the page tour, see Read your billing activity.

Trial and plan

  • Trial — your first workspace runs on a 14-day free trial that started when your payment method was confirmed. The Your Trial section shows the trial end date, the plan you chose, and your first charge. See Your 14-day free trial.
  • Trial cancelled — you cancelled before the first charge. You will not be charged, and access continues until the trial end date.
  • Active — a paid plan is active and within its current billing period. A trial becomes Active once its first charge is confirmed.
  • Trial ended — the trial has passed without a paid first charge (for example, it was cancelled or the first charge did not go through); choose a plan or resolve billing to keep publishing.

Billing status and access

  • Billing Status — whether your subscription is active. When active, publishing workflows can run within plan limits.
  • Billing Period — your cadence, Monthly or Yearly.
  • Publishing Access — whether publishing can run. It is allowed while your billing and usage limits permit it, and can be blocked when a limit is reached. See What to do at a plan limit.

Payment status

  • Payment Status — your current billing action, if any. It can read that no action is needed, or that a payment was started and access is waiting for confirmation.
  • Paid access updates only after payment is confirmed — returning from the payment step alone does not change it. See Payment and Secure Payment.
Note
The Billing page is sanitized — it shows your plan, dates, and status, not payment provider identifiers.
